One media company from Norway has introduced a new rule on certain pages of its portal – you can not comment until you read the whole text.
But how will they know whether the site visitor actually read the article? They have introduced a obligatory test.
They are testing the new option currently on a small number of pages, mainly those dedicated to technology.
The tests are not too complex, they only show that readers at least dipped into the text before they run to the bottom.
“If we all read the article and know what it is about, then we will have a much better basis for commenting on the article,” said Stale Gruta, one of the journalists on the NRK site.
